What better way to know a city than understanding its culture and people? This tour takes you to places of worship from different religions in India, a local market, and neighbourhoods to glimpse the people of Delhi going about their daily lives.

We will begin by visiting Akshardham, the world’s largest Hindu temple complex, where you can explore the beautiful temple, take a short boat tide to experience traditional Hindu culture and some history. A visit to a local market to see Delhiites shopping and indulge in the purchase of trinkets, clothes and jewelry will follow. Post a break for lunch, we will head to the Muslim sections of Delhi, where you will be able to witness Mughal style cooking, and visit Nizamuddin where we will see the tomb of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, a Sufi saint. The Sikh Gurudwara Bangla Sahib concludes the tour, where you can participate in the langar, the volunteer driving cooking and feeding done at the Gurudwara.

Tour Details: The tour runs between 6 and 8 hours, based on your interests. Please note that shoes must be removed before entering religious places of worship, and head cover is required at some.
