Highlights of Udaipur is a guided tour that covers the most famous landmarks of Rajasthan’s most romantic city. Udaipur is renowned for its beautiful palaces, lakes and gardens. This trip combines the best of the lot into a concise 5 hour itinerary. Here are some of the landmarks that travellers will explore through the duration of this trip:
 

• City Palace Udaipur: The City Palace is a fabulous place, with marble and granite walls that support the famous miniature paintings. Tiles, glass and mirror work adorn the palace walls and corridors. One part of the palace is now a museum, which we will visit. We will walk through the many palaces and courtyards within the compound, all connected by passages.  Zenana Mahal, the women’s quarters, has intricate windows and alcoves that are particularly eye catching.
• Jagdish Temple: An active temple  built in the year 1651, this is an intricately carved structure – the outer walls and spires have many beautiful carvings. Dedicated to Vishnu, you will see devotees as well as prayers being conducted.
• Saheliyon ki badi: Garden of the Maids of Honour, we will stroll through this elegant garden that is said to have been made for the young female attendants who accompanied a princess who came to Udaipur to marry.
• Vintage car collection: The Maharaja of Udaipur has a famed collection of vintage and classic cars, housed in a heritage circular garage. Dating back to a time when there were no other car owners in the city, the garage even has a Burmah Shell petrol pump!
