Birding in Bharatpur is an early morning trip to the Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur. This sanctuary has been designated under the Ramsar Convention as a Wetland of International Importance. Bharatpur is another UNESCO World Heritage site. It is located an hour’s drive away from Agra and in order to arrive at the park by dawn and get the best of the birds, we will be leaving in the very early hours of the morning.
 
Keoladeo is a complex of ten varied in size artificial, seasonal lagoons. Lush vegetation of scrub and open grassland offers an excellent habitat for breeding, wintering and staging migratory birds. The lagoons are also home to five species of ungulates, four species of cats, and two species of primates. You will also come across a multitude of plants, reptiles and fish.
