Walk through Bangalore’s Landmarks

We’ll take a two hour walk around Bangalore’s Secretariat area and visit some of its recognizable architecture and gardens. We’ll meet at the General Post Office (GPO) building, an easy to find local landmark. We’ll walk to the Raj Bhavan (the Governor’s Residence), Vidhana Soudha (the State Legislature) and Attara Kacheri (the High Court) and your guide will give you the history and workings of these establishments. Next we’ll take a stroll through Cubbon Park, and stopping at landmarks within the park. We’ll end with a stop at the Government Museum, one of the oldest museums in India, established during British rule, and the adjoining Venkatappa Art Gallery, which houses art dating back to 2000 BC.
