After completing her Bachelor’s degree in ecotourism from the UK, Rachna did something unexpected. She moved into an organic farm in Pondicherry and decided to become a farmer! (She says her other option was to do an internship with The Blue Yonder, but apparently no one from the company responded to her!) At the farm, she learnt farming, regenerative forestry and earth-healing before moving into Auroville. Now she is developing her own farm in the neighbourhood, while continuing to volunteer in one of the forestry programs in Auroville. Whenever she gets an opportunity, she continues to learn about farming by working with farmers including in places like ‘Conscious Farm’ in Pondicherry.
