After a late breakfast, walk inside the lanes of Pushkar. You may encounter people from remote parts of the world in the quest of finding their inner self. Hinduism is a thought process and this you can see in Pushkar. Enjoy a meal overlooking the lake. Spend time visiting the Brahma temple and if you are lucky meet a Yogi meditating near the lake. The day will pass leisurely, before we transfer you to the hotel.

After breakfast on the next morning, leave for Roopengarh - a desolate Fort where once a Mughal spent a night) In the afternoon, visit Roopengarh village. Meet various artisans, weavers, Gota maker, Durry maker and Potters. Understand how Rural India is connected to commerce through handicrafts. The Handicraft industry is one of the biggest occupations in India after agriculture. Spend the night at Roopengarh.

On the next morning, leave for Guda Village near Makrana, where you will experience a Village stay for 2 nights. The 2 day stay will give you unparalleled insight into the many issues that form the core of the challenges faced by contemporary India, such as women empowerment, social conditions, Health, Education, livelihood issues, etc. The days spent in the Gudda Village take you to the ‘bastis’ of these artists, where you can participate in workshops on puppetry. The focus of workshops will be to explore how puppetry can be used in the modern days to convey the message of literacy, health, hygiene and primary education. The guests get to make these puppet and learn from the masters who are traditional artists. Spend the evening with the Bhopa community: The feudal stories of Papuji Rathore is sung by the members of Bhopa community in the evenings post sunset. As typical of our holidays, the performances are not organised in hotels or resorts, instead we invite our travellers to our villages to meet and interact with the communities and understand more about their social backgrounds and enjoy the ritualistic traditions. You will also get opportunity to visit a local school and interact with children. In the evening house ladies will put Mehendi !! Overnight stay at Makrana Village.

Early next morning, drive to Mandore near Jodhpur (6.5hrs drive). Arrive at Mandore and proceed to Mandore Guest House. Mandore guest house provides great opportunity to work with volunteers of the NGO supported by the family. If you possess any specific skills that you’d like to share, do let us know; we can connect you with the local partner who will match the skills, provided there is a need for such voluntary engagement. Visit the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort and the bazaar. Overnight in Mandore/Jodhpur. A plethora of activities are possible in Mandore, ranging from Bird watching and cycling to a nearby village to see the rural projects. Jeep Safari to Bishnoi village is also offered by the hosts at Mandore Guest House. Overnight stay at Mandore/Jodhpur.

On the 10th morning, drive to Siana (3.5hrs drive), a quaint little town and a less explored destination in Rajasthan. Your hosts here are famous for their hospitality. In the evening, go for a Panther safari, followed by overnight in Siana. Begin the following day with a village walk and explore the carpentry culture of Siana. Visit a traditional carpenter’s house to see their pieces of work. Drive across the dry river bed and meet with the Rabari community, the traditional shepherds of this region. Go on a panther trail at dusk and come back to immerse yourself in stargazing. Overnight in Siana.

The Aravallis welcome you to Udaipur via Ranakpur temples (5hrs). Stroll along the lakes and the narrow lanes, each with a unique character as you discover Rajasthan’s most romantic city - Updaipur, where you will spend the evening and night at your leisure. The next day, embark upon a guided tour of the City Palace, Saheliuon Ki Bari and Jagdish Temple. Don’t forget to shop to your heart’s extent; from authentic jewellery to colourful clothes and wooden toys, Udaipur will never disappoint on this front. Go on a guided tour visiting City palace, Saheliyon Ki bari and Jagdish Temple. We can also organize a cuisine trail on your last day in Rajasthan. The evening is reserved for a serene boat ride on Lake Pichola with a setting sun for company. On the last day, transfer to the airport for onward journey.

Arrive at Delhi and proceed on a guided tour of Lutyens New Delhi. We take you through this beautifully planned quarter of the city that is home to important, and architecturally relevant structures such as the Parliament, Rashtrapati Bhavan (president’s residence) and India Gate. We finish the tour of Delhi with sunset at the Qutb Complex, which is home to the Qutb Minar, the tallest minaret in India and the Iron Pillar which is one of the wonders of India. Spend the night in the capital city of India. Wake up early next morning to go on a guided history walk through old Delhi. Visit the various eateries in the narrow crowded lanes of the legendary Chandni Chowk and taste Delhi through its delicacies (Karims – the most authentic Mughlai eatery). Visit the Kinari bazaar - tightly packed stalls selling bewildering array of tinsel and sequins. Dariba Kalan is the lane of jewellers and silversmiths. Rickshaw ride is the best way to explore if you feel tired of walking in the narrow lanes. Board an afternoon train to Bharatpur 2060 exp 1320/1543. Arrive and transfer to accommodation near the park. If time permits, we can have a quick stroll around this wonderful natural paradise before retiring for the night.

Wake up early in the morning to hear the orchestra of birds in the Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Drive after lunch to Ranthambore National Park (5.5 hours drive) home to one of the largest populations of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Spend the night at a cozy guesthouse/homestay inside the National Park. Early next morning, embark upon another safari in your quest to spot the majestic Bengal tiger and thereafter leave for Bijaipur (6.5 hours drive). On the way, take a small pit-stop at Bundi, famous for its medieval fort. You have the rest of the evening free to discover Bijaipur at your leisure.

The next morning, go for an early morning village safari around Bijaipur, a rocky area dominated by green fields and forests. After seeing the picturesque terrain of Bijaipur, drive to Udaipur (3 hours drive). Explore the city at your lesiure in the evening before an retiring for the night. Spend the entire day in Rajasthan’s most romantic city, Udaipur. This side of Rajasthan has been widely photographed and showcased but is still worth savouring. Your day will consist of a boat ride on lake Picola, Bazaar Walks and Guided tours of the City.

Leave early in the morning for Kumbhalgarh (4 hours drive), which is nestled within greenery and serenity. Visit the Kumbalgarh Fort, which is at one of the highest points in the Aravalli range and encloses many temples, palaces, gardens and water-storage facilities. The fort was renovated in the last century. Overnight in Kumbhalgarh.

The next morning begins with a day excursion to Ranakpur – an 8 hour trek. The trek takes you through the wild side of amazing forests and hills. Chances of spotting wildlife is quite high. Arrive in Ranakpur and visit the famous Jain temples which have been preserved since 15th century. In the evening drive back to Kumbhalgarh and enjoy a well-deserved night of rest.

Narlai located mid way between Udaipur-Jodhpur takes you back in time. Here, an extremely authentic Rajput stay - Rawla (villa) nestled in the village bustling with activity and bursting with colors awaits you.

The next morning, drive towards Jodhpur (3hrs drive) and spend the rest of the day exploring Jodhpur, a city punctuated amply by gardens, monuments and legends. We visit the massive Meherangarh fort, Jodhpur’s old town and the Mandore gardens before settling down at your hotel for a relaxed evening and night. After breakfast on the following morning, explore the Bishnoi villages around Jodhpur and learn about their lifestyle, which is devoted to the environment and protection of wild life.

On the 12th morning, we drive to Jaisalmer (6.5 hours drive), the city which is at the heart of the vast Thar desert. On the way we make a pit-stop at Pokharan, a traditional pottery village. Try your hand at pottery and take back what you mould. At Jaisalmer we explore the fort and interact with the locals, before settling down for the night. You next day will consist of guided tours of the Golden Fort, Jain Temple, Gadisar tank and Havelis. From late afternoon onwards, you’ll have the rest of the day free to explore the city at your leisure.

Spend the penultimate day of your holiday walking through the wonderful streets of Jaisalmer until your departure to Delhi by train. The train ride passes through desert sands, rustic landscapes and colourful settlements – a fitting last glimpse of Rajasthan. Arrive in Delhi on the 15th day and prepare for onward journey.

Arrive in Jaipur – the Pink City, where a transfer to your hotel/homestay awaits you. Explore the dimly lit capital city of Rajasthan at leisure and marvel at its impecabble town planning. In the evening, visit a nearby village to attend a Folk and Puppetry program and interact with the wonderful people that create and perform these works-of-art! The Blue Yonder supports these artisans in partnership of Kalakar Vikas samiti . This is also a wonderful opportunity to buy directly from the artisans themselves with large varieties of small puppets, trinkets, hanging elephants, bangles etc. to choose from. Your purchases directly support the artisans and their craftsmanship. Return to Jaipur for overnight stay. The next morning, visit the city palace and look out for the hoisted flag, it is an indicator of whether the Maharaja is at the palace or not. We take you on a walk around the uniquely constructed city, and study its planning. You have an option to visit Amber fort or indulge in responsible shopping at fair trade shops. Early next morning, drive into the ruggedly beautiful Shekhawati region (4 hours). We take you on a walk through the town of Nawalgarh to explore its havelis, before settling down for a peaceful evening/night. Wake up early morning and choose from a range of activities such as cycle trips, camel rides and even horse rides, cooking demos, etc. For women travelers, we strongly recommend checking out the famous Mehendi (Indian Tattoo). In the morning, drive to Khimsar via Fatehpur (5 hours) and visit some exquisitely built havelis. Check into a sensitively designed desert camp and settle in to experience a dazzling sunset. On the following morning, join us on a visit to the weaving centre supported by a local foundation that has been engaging local women from the nearby villages. You can interact with the women to understand where they come from and learn the art of weaving before returning to camp and soak in the incredible vastness and serenity of the desert!

In the morning, we drive to Chandelao, a quaint village renowned for some of the best food in these parts of the world. Here you get to meet some wonderful craftsmen – from potters to folk artists. Count on your hosts here to make your stay a memorable experience. In the evening, embark upon a ‘sundowner’ trip at camel pace. Overnight in Chandelao. After breakfast the next morning, you can go to the local markets around the town of Pipar or watch migratory birds at a nearby bird sanctuary. Share a lunch or dinner with the locals, as they recount magical tales that speak of the history of the fort and the feudal system of these lands. Retire for the night in Chandelao.

The following morning, drive down to Rohetgarh (3 hours). On the way, visit the massive Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur; meander through its passages, with stories and history mapping centuries for company. The drive to Rohet is via the famous Bishnoi villages. The Bishnois are known for being the original environmentalists who would give their lives to protect the environment. Experience the inspiration of their will power. The present rulers of Rohetgarh are known for their warmth and hospitality. The stables of Rohetgarh have the best Marwari breed of horses in Rajasthan. Overnight in Rohet. Stroll around the picturesque village of Rohetgarh. Your time in Rohet is at your leisure, allowing you some time to catch up with and reflect on everything you’ve witnessed so far.
